The Review

It’s an absolute joy to be back with Mr Sloth and Sasha for more mindful moments as Sasha learns that life doesn’t have to be lived at race pace, and waiting can make special moments even more magical.

Delightful illustrations bring Sasha and Mr Sloth to life, capturing all of their emotions as they simultaneously race and crawl towards swimming. Their facial expressions help younger readers reach beyond basic emotions to explore empathy for the characters – whether it is Sasha’a frustration at having to wait, or Mr Sloth’s dejected look at being left behind.

As with Mindful Mr Sloth, we find strategies at the end of the story to help us slow down, live in the moment and embrace the virtue that is patience.
