Entwined within the whimsical tale are moments of profound depth, where we see the puppets become more than their singular thoughts, be it the wolf and his teeth, the king and his self-importance, or the boy and his desire to do great things. Through the trials and triumphs of these endearing characters, we see the importance of patience, adaptability, and the strength found in unity when confronted with challenges and change.

Julie’s evocative black and white illustrations add an extra layer of depth to Kate’s enchanting new fairytale – a combination that evokes a timeless feel of a story passed down through the generations.
