Ten Delicious Teachers by Ross Montgomery, illustrated Sarah Warburton

Publication Date: 5 August 2021

The Blurb

Ten silly teachers have missed the last bus home. But LOOK – a shortcut through the forest! They’ll be back in time for tea! Off they skip, unaware that in the woods a hungry horde of mischievous and hilariously goofy monsters is waiting…

The Review

A wonderfully wacky counting book that is monstrously funny. I cannot wait to read this with children in school and watch their faces as the ten teachers wander through the woods on their way home.

Sarah’s delightful illustrations are the perfect backdrop to Ross’s raucous rhyming tale that is bound to have children joining in. With plenty to discover in each spread, this is a book that I am sure will be read over and over again.

And, as much I I love to encourage reading, there is a reason I say books closed whilst walking. You won’t catch me meeting the same fate as Miss McKenzie…

Perfect for a whole class read, supporting counting backwards, creating monsters, and getting rid of teachers. A must for EYFS and KS1!

Huge thanks to Walker Books for inviting me to take part in the blog tour for Ten Delicious Teachers. De make sure you check out all of the other stops.
